Melissa K. Bartels joined Serkland Law Firm as a paralegal in 2013 after working in nonprofit marketing and fund development. She currently focuses on family law and civil litigation.
Melissa earned a B.A. in English and Communications from North Dakota State University in 2002. After graduation, she went on to earn a J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2005.
While in law school, Melissa was a fellow with the Rosenthal Institute for Justice/Ohio Innocence Project, managing editor of the Immigration and Nationality Law Review. She received multiple brief-writing awards for the Moot Court Honor Board.
